PISTOL TRAINING WITH THE SSAA NSW AUBURN PISTOL CLUB

The SSAA NSW Auburn Pistol Club is unlike any other. Our members enjoy the freedom to participate in their own time via our unique rolling shooting competition, allowing them to complete mandatory attendances and practice safely and comfortably without being locked into fixed sessions. All shoots can be recorded easily through our new membership platform.
Our club caters for handgun disciplines (including pistols and revolvers).
If you are new to pistol shooting, you will be supported every step of the way by our qualified and friendly SSAA NSW trainers.
To join, all members must be a current, financial SSAA NSW member.

STEP 1 : Make sure you Are a SSAA Member
To join the SSAA NSW Auburn Pistol Club, you must first be a current member of the Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia (SSAA). If you’re not yet a member, you can join please click below.
STEP 2 : Getting Started
Complete the SSAA NSW APC Membership Application Form by clicking the link below, selecting your membership plan and including your two character references.
Your application will be reviewed by the SSAA NSW APC Committee for approval.
STEP 3 : Joining the SSAA NSW Auburn Pistol Club
EXISTING CATEGORY H LICENCE HOLDERS
If you currently hold a NSW Category H (Pistol) Firearms Licence, you will need to complete a competency assessment prior to being approved with the SSAA NSW Auburn Pistol Club.
CATEGORY A/B LICENCE HOLDERS
If you are hold a current Category A/B licence holder, please review the information below before securing your place in an upcoming Super Sunday session.
STEP 4 : Book for Super Sunday Pistol Training
Book your spot on SUPER SUNDAY – a weekend dedicated to pistol training by our SSAA NSW Trainers. This course costs $400, runs for a full day and includes:
- Full theory session (3.5 hours)
- Practical range assessment (2.5 hours) where you will have the opportunity, under one-on-one supervision to fire a pistol at a target
- 3x mandatory Probationary Pistol Licence (PPL) supervised shoots within the first 3 months
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – ear plugs and protective glasses

For those who don’t manage to book for this Super Sunday, don’t worry, future pistol training sessions will be shared with you as they become available.
STEP 5 : Pistol Club Shooting on Your Terms
The SSAA NSW Auburn Pistol Club is unlike other pistol clubs —our members enjoy the freedom to shoot at their own pace with our rolling shooting competition.
Simply visit the SSAA NSW Auburn Shooting Centre, sign in using your digital ID and start shooting. You can track your scores via the member portal.
